The 1992 edition of The Waterfall features a story told by Pat Kennedy (a participant in the Tourmakeady ambush) to John Colleran, principal of Cloonliffen NS in 1966. The article first appeared in the Ballinrobe parish magazine "The Bridge" in 1967.
